Deliveries are carried out in house by our own staff wherever possible. For further afield areas or urgent orders we will also utilise trusted independent couriers. To keep delivery costs down all deliveries are a one person service. This does mean they will require assistance to move your item(s) from the van into your home. If this is not suitable for you please contact us before placing an order.
Most deliveries are done Monday to Friday during daytime hours. We try to be as flexible as possible to accommodate your needs but we appreciate your help with allowing us to schedule our delivery routes efficiently. You will always be given a 2-3 hour time slot for your delivery.
Turned leg dining tables come with the legs detached. These screw in on long metal dowels, no tools required. All other items come fully assembled. Please ensure you have adequate space to allow for large fixed legs table to get to your chosen room.
We charge a standard rate of £80 which covers up to 3 items. See below for certain excluded areas.
For central Scotland areas we are able to offer a rate of £50 for up to 3 items. Central Scotland covers Edinburgh, Lothians, Selkirkshire, Glasgow, Stirling , Perth, Dundee and Fife. Individual items under 120cm in length can be delivered within this area for £25.
Excluded areas: Highlands, Islands, Argyll, Kirkcudbrightshire, Wigtonshire, Ayrshire, Northern Ireland and any other UK islands. Please get in touch for a quote.
DELIVERY TERMS & CONDITIONS
-The Goods will be delivered to you at the address you provided during the order process which may be an address other than the billing address, but please note that extra documentation may be needed to comply with such orders.
- We employ professional couriers. Nevertheless, you must examine the Goods on arrival. If you are asked for your signature on delivery, you must examine the Goods before signing for them.
-Please consider the access to the location you are having the product made for. We will not be held responsible for items not fitting into the space required, and any re-deliveries and alterations will have to be charged to the customer.
- If the item is to be delivered above first floor please let us know in advance as this may incur a supplement.
-Any attempted and failed deliveries due to access issues will be charged to the customer, along with the cost of any necessary alterations.
-Any delivery dates or times set out are estimates only. While we will make all reasonable efforts to deliver the goods within the time or times agreed but we will not be responsible for any losses caused to the Buyer as a result of late delivery, and are unable to offer compensation if the agreed delivery date is missed or cancelled by the courier or ourselves.
-We will always endeavour to complete any work in as timely way as possible, but unless agreed to beforehand with the Buyer, we will not be subject to any subsequent arbitrary delivery dates requested or insisted upon by the Buyer or their agents.
-We sometimes use third party delivery companies; your contact details will be sent onto them to arrange delivery. The delivery companies are responsible for organizing the delivery of your goods, and may not be completely flexible on delivery dates or times.
-Although we will always attempt to have deliveries made in one consignment, we reserve the right to have goods delivered in more than one consignment, unless otherwise agreed.
-If the Buyer fails to meet the arranged delivery date, any charges incurred for redelivery will passed onto the Buyer, and likewise any charges incurred for the storage of goods.
-If the delivery company's POD (proof of delivery) is signed for by the customer, with no mention of damage no refunds or repairs can be issued for damages caused in transit.
-Goods may be collected from our Galashiels based workshop on completion by the Buyer if previously arranged.
REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Can I change or cancel my order?
Provided we haven't started your table you can change or cancel your order. Let us know as soon as possible by email. As each table is custom made to your specifications we cannot accept returns after delivery unless your table is faulty. Please ensure you have read our table specifications T's & C's to satisy yourself that the item you will receive is what you are looking for.
In the unlikely scenario of a table having/developing a fault we will endeavour to repair or replace your table as soon as humanly possible. Alternatively you can opt for a full refund including delivery costs.
You may notify us of your cancellation by sending us an email to at firstname.lastname@example.org quoting your name, address and a description of theorder.
Refunds on Cancellation
- So long as you are entitled to cancel we will refund you the balance of the price and any standard delivery costs you paid to us after deducting the value of any Services/Goods we supplied/produced before we received your cancellation notice. Refunds will be processed within 14 days.
By the very nature of both the reclaimed materials we use, and the type of rustic furniture we are produce, our wood could contain all of the following characterful traits: (which are expected within each piece and for which we are unable to offer any kind of discount or refund)
-Scratches that are original to the piece of timber
-Small missing knots of wood
-Minor splits that do not interfere with the function of the piece
-Minor discolouration that is original to the piece of timber
-Signs of old nails or staples within the wood
Hopefully all of these attributes will add to the uniqueness of your piece, but should you want your piece to be reduced from this type of rustic character as much as possible, please make sure to specify a quote for a particularly unmarked table surface, or let us know that you need a surface extra flat/smooth etc so that we are able to quote accordingly.
-We always endeavour to choose the best boards for our tables, however there will still be small knots, varied wood grain and medullary rays, depending on the wood we have in stock.
-We will not accept returns, make adjustments or alterations, or offer refunds due to issues arising from the customer's personal preference on wood grain, pattern, knots, medullary rays or any other naturally occurring elements. Natural wood is varied and beautiful and the grain can even change in the same piece.
-All wood species can react to exposure to sunlight, changes in temperature and humidity. We cannot be held responsible for changes in the wood due to environmental factors, once delivery has been made.
-All our wood is dried to a humidity of 8-10% moisture. In very dry or warm settings this could decrease, leading to cracks/movement. We make our furniture with wood movement in mind; however we can’t take responsibility should the piece react to the humidity of your own environment.
-Underfloor heating, strong sunlight such as in conservatories or exceptionally warm homes can impact on the movement and also shrinkage of the wood.
-All our products can be made to measure to fit your space, however we do not guarantee mm precision unless we are specified to do so.
-Due to the nature of the finishes applied to our product, the final finishes may vary from photos online or samples we send out, but we will always do our best a get a match.
-We cannot be held responsible for customers preference to design elements that are not discussed or raised at the point of ordering, and will make educated assumptions based on the style of the product, functionality etc.
-Our colour range describes shades used by Farrow & Ball. Please note that items are not finished using Farrow & Ball branded paint. Alternative professional quality paint with colour matched tones are used to finish all products. Where a custom colours is required we always offer a choice of colour matched or branded paint at the relevant price. Colour matched paint which we do not already have in stock is charged at £20. Branded paint is charged at RRP and the remaining paint left after finishing your item is sent along as part of your delivery.
